My manfriend let me listen to a music from middle east; it had an instrument that also sounded like a yangqin. I believe that is what it means, is it not? yang (洋 ) means "foreign and from west"? (Which, to China, would mean the middle east.)
Of course the middle east music was played different, and sounded different, but it sounded very much like a yangqin!
By the way:
I like to practice Chinese! Is the below correctly stated?
我十分喜歡洋琴音樂!

Played by hammers, right?
The one called "Wongleisu" is a friend of mine, and we're both learning Chinese.
Sometimes computers do not transmit Chinese characters correctly.
I will test:
Below should have characters for "zhong guo" or "Middle Kingdom"; that is, China.
中國
If the characters are not visible, something is not transmitting correctly.
The one above was saying:
我 十分 喜歡 洋琴 音樂。
I very much like yangqin music.
If you cannot see the characters, well, here we go again! I have had this problem with transmitting Chinese characters before.
Anyway, great photo! Now I know how to draw them!
which chinese do you speak. i speak the type where it is "zhong wen" but i can understand some of your characteres.
